FY 2013 Innovative Partnership Grant Program

The Governor's Workforce Board (GWB) is seeking proposals to establish Innovative Partnerships between (a) one or more employer, employer organization, industry association, or labor-management organization; and (b) one or more training & education provider that will develop career pathways to address the workforce needs of Rhode Island employers and increase the employability of students, out-of-school youth, and unemployed or underemployed adults.

Express Grant Proposal - FY 2013 Incumbent Worker Training Grant Program

The intended impact of these Express Grants is to provide funding to businesses in need of short term training for their employees. Therefore, all training must take place within 90 days of the grantees award date. Grantees are only eligible to receive one Express Grant per fiscal year.

The Governor’s Workforce Board Rhode Island is pleased to announce that funding is available for Incumbent Worker Training Express Grants to support the competitiveness and growth of Rhode Island businesses. Eligible employers may apply for up to $5,000 in matching funds to invest in incumbent worker training that builds and retains a high-skilled, high-performance workforce. Grants proposals can be submitted on-line and will be reviewed on a monthly basis. Click below for more information.

Please note: Any Rhode Island for profit or not-for-profit organization may apply for this grant if they currently contribute to the Job Development Fund. Those organizations with an active Incumbent Worker Training Grant with the GWB are not eligible to apply for the Express Grant.
